PC Peripherals vx450 on entry level iball cabby?

I have installed vx450 on entry level iball cabby, my concern is tht, the fan of vx450 gets half blocked by the cabinet's casing as below:



is it harmful?

my specs are:
C2D 2.66ghz
intel dg33fb mobo
trans 2gb + ocz 2gb (both 800mhz)
1tb + 250gb seagate
samsung 2233sw
basic iball cabby
vx450
 
After seeing the image i would suggest you to change ur cabby dude.

Why to risk vx 450 which is worth 4k for a cheap iball cabby.

Can you please give a full side shot of the cabby with the panel removed and a pic of the rear and front please? :)

Also, i don't see a rear exhaust fan. :no:

Oh yeah now that I take another look at the pic... the rear exhaust fan is not mounted. :S
 
Or another cheap option is to go for any other cheap cabinet (Without PSU). Like Umax or Intex. You can get them for 800 bucks. When purchasing, do see that they are spacious.
 
Invest in a well built Cooler Master/Antec cabinet. Pays off in the long run. :ohyeah:

Btw, what is your budget for the cabby?

thts d soln! but do i need to add rear exhaust or.......i'll keep the cabby open....anyways the wires r bulging out.
 
add a rear exhaust fan as well. cabinets are designed to intake from the front and exhaust from the rear. keeping the panel open spoils that design
 
Like bottle said, drill some holes on that metal scrap covering the intake. I dont think there's any need to spend money on a new cabinet!
 
Looks a very bad design
its designed for cheapo psu's with rear fans
Also, the rear exhaust slot looks 80mm and not 120
Better to invest in a decent cabby, I would suggest CM Elite 335
 
the cheapest decent cabinet you can get for yourself is the bijli.

comes for about 1k w/o the psu and will serve your purpose well.

Not much I could find about this cabinet, I'd say to stick to the Three Hundred if you plan on buying one from the Antec.

IMO, you should go with the Cooler Master Elite 334 or the NZXT Aplha (if it's available easily) for the quality they have. The normal version would be decent enough and good VFM.

If you are looking for something extremely cheap due to budget issues, then you may go with the Cooler Master Elite 310 which will be available @ Lamington Road for around 1.6 ~ 1.7k
