Note that these categories are as claimed by the authorities. But majority of the suicides, accidents and illnesses are also highly suspicious. I mean why will a dean who is investigating a case immolate himself and his successor who is also poking his nose is found dead in a hotel room.

BJP govt claimed that they are offering scam free governance compared to congress. Yet this has been running in a BJP ruled state for several years with a total of 48 deaths so far, most of them highly suspicious. Well, they are definitely different than congress. congress scams are about corruption and money laundering, BJP is setting a new standard with all these murders.

The CM goes on to say that its unfair to link all 48 deaths to the scam. Does he mean to say that some of the deaths were not murders? Isn't that statement itself implying that he thinks many of the deaths may be murders that are linked to the scam?

I mean how can they explain this away as mere coincidence. They are desperately trying to cover this up and every one who may be a potential witness or poking their nose in is dying.

That stat itself is suspicious.

And vyapam is for one state only. I am sure every state will have atleast one vyapam sort of scam present already, with both BJP as well as Congress (or its party members) involved.

this party or that party is more corrupt is just PR.

The battle is heating up, smear campaign in full swing, casting aspersions, pointing fingers. I don't know what that Lalit Modi is doing yapping in London but he managed to draw in the FM, a CM and HRD minister. Now this 'scam' happens in MP. So i wonder which will be the next BJP ruled state to suddenly have another scam. No congress state govt has any scams, there are so few. so odds are more it will be a bjp state.

Until such time there is plenty of ammo to use to waste time in the monsoon session. each time bjp tries to pass any legislation the opposition will scream scam, CBI probe, x and y should resign etc in attempts to block any movement. Make them waste time in damage control :rolleyes:
 
All the deaths are of people who were in some way related to the scam. Either as beneficiaries of the scam that were already identified as such and can become potential witnesses in future, or those who are involved in the investigation. Nobody is counting all unrelated deaths of candidates that have ever written an entrance exam conducted by vyapam ever, just the people who are somehow related to the scam and have died in last few years.

That is why media put forth that number and I am more than willing to believe it.

How many coincidental deaths of people related to the scam can be there? 5 maybe even 10. If somebody is going to try to tell me that 30~40 people all interconnected to the scam in some manner have coincidentally died over a course of 2~3 years, then sorry. I am not going to believe such nonsense.

I believe that in every big scam in the country, every major party is a beneficiary. So, BJP and congress are both involved in every scam that has happened in the country. Scams come out in the open when there are differences among the parties and people involved regarding how the ill gained benefits are distributed.

My reference to BJP that you quoted is in regards to how BJP leaders so brazenly declared in recent months how scam free their govt is. Don't for a moment think that I believe that congress is not involved in the Lalit modi/IPL scams or even this vyapam scam or that BJP is not involved in the so called congress scams.

Still, this particular scam is a bit too much. If not for the media highlighting it (call it what you will), most people would not even come to know about the existence of this scam or that so many people related to it have died..

We don't know head or tail of it just the usual lurid exposes, circumstantial bollocks.

lalit modi did his stuff under congress rule, he got into a pickle now to get out of that pickle he has to finger somebody else. Same happened to a former cm of my state.

i think this is just politics as usual, you find an 'in' to get at the other party and go with it. the media is always willing to push anything if it gets attention. not mine though.

Only thing i care about is at the end of a parliament session, what passed and what is pending and when it will be passed. That is the end product we all look for.
 
Can someone ELI5 as to what's happening here? Everytime I log on to NDTV . com, I see an interview or something related to this "scam".
I guess the media is hyping up the numbers but even a single suspicious death is cause for concern and needs to be investigated, don't you think?
 
Modiji should act now.

Ask for resignations from MP & Rajasthan CM s ASAP. Majority part of vote for his government was actually anti corruption vote. We don't want a BJP version of Moun Mohan Singh. He should walk the talk now.

Both CM should resign to Allow for free and fair investigations. Show that you aren't a Congress government whenever corruption issues are raised against your CMs.
 
What are you all surprised for? This is just the Gujarat Model being implemented.


BJP spokespersons are threatening and calling the whistle blower a murderer on news. Insane stuff these guys are made of.

5lack plus candidate was joined at 100rs each form fees and also they spent a lot of time and money to prepare and give exam

I hate this system of a politics and other constitute of how India is build

So much for putting shivraj chauhan under the dock for not ordering a cbi inquiry. Mp hc rejects the cbi request citing.

Many of the high courts in the country have (at least currently) judges who seem to have a track record of going out of their way to side and sympathise with criminals even if its not because of personal gains.

Here are a few choice examples of cases. Note that I don't have exact reference to which high court each of these cases happened, but you should be able to look it up with some difficulty.

- 15 year old Minor rape victim asked to compromise with her rapist.

- A 15 year rape victim was asked to wait for 3 years and marry her rapist.

- A girl who became pregnant from rape who requested for termination was ordered to keep her child as "evidence".

- A person who raped a 61 year old women (she died in the process) had his sentence from lower court for rape and involuntary manslaughter, cancelled and allowed to go scot free because the judge determined that since he was drunk at the time, he should not be charged with either crime. Even his defense lawyer was shocked because he was just trying to reduce the sentence and did not even use the "under influence" argument.

- A guy who raped a mother and daughter and brutally killed them by stabbing a combined total of over 50 times and then bragged about it to friends the next two days had his sentence reduced because he happened to be drunk at the time of the deed although the judge disregarded the fact that this guy bragged about it the next two days while sober.

- Salman Khan judgement stalled and allowed to go free.

- Jayalalitha judgement overthrown using the most absurd math skills that would embarrass a elementary school kid.

Lots more of absurd judgements from High courts of India.

Looking at the record of absurdly bad judgements, I currently have no faith in the high courts. Lets see where the PIL goes in the supreme court.

As it is the SIT was under the high Court monitoring the investigation of the scam. Now all focus rests on the Supreme Court.
Even the proof presented by digvijay Singh suggesting the involvement of the cm was rejected by the high Court then citing that the so called evidence presented by digvijay Singh was tampered.
 
Looks like the SC took the call to transfer the case to CBI.

I don't really care much for evidence from politicians as they are habituated to lying, doctoring fake evidence and the sort. Regardless of what Mr. "Dog"vijay has to bark on the matter, the fact remains that 48 people that were associated with the scam either as beneficiaries, investigators or whistle-blower have died and the matter needs to be investigated.

One of the whistle-blowers got into this whole mess when he took his mother to a hospital and saw that the doctors where were not qualified to be doctors. He now says that several attempts were made on his life and is getting death threats asking him to shut his mouth.

A scam of this scale does not happen without massive political involvement and the fact that the CM has been doing his best to suppress or control the scope of the investigation is proof that he is involved. Even his recommending the CBI probe was a white wash to save face done after the PIL was accepted in Supreme Court and it is more than likely that SC would rule in favor of the CBI investigation.

Still, CBI does not exactly have a clean track record when it comes to corruption and CBI or not, I have no faith that this case would be investigated properly. Most of the critical evidence would have been cleaned up already.
 
More or Less it happens in every country, Power corrupts. Better to have a Chinese Govt. which hangs even for corruption.
