Well, I have owned this baby for a while now. I need to do a couple of things.. I was hoping someone here could help me out with these...

1)Backup all my contact details on PC. I want an outlook sync alternative
2)Any linky's to good themes ?
3)Planning to go for a 4 gig pro duo, can any one comment on the performance & price :P

Heh...those are fakes, dont even bother witht hat.

had a fake 1gig MS pro duo, gave up one me after 3 months. Phone used to hand every 20 mins, take out meme card and everything is fine. put mem card back, phone restarts. if card not detected, take out, put back in, restart. totally frustrating.

it was sooo frustrating that i actually took out that card and smashed it into pieces on my table :P Went and bought Original Sandisk 2gig MS pro duo with proper bill and warranty for 1.8K

fake sony one was available for 1.6k ..with 1 yrs warranty ..but pls avoid this ..

also the sandisk i got, i was in a hurry ..could have got it a bit lower ..at 2.2-2.3k ..but had no time ..hence bought at 2.4k ..

Yeah, I find the major difference in browsing through file manager, especially in pictures folders, and zooming. With 64MB stock sandisk card it is a bit faster.
 
I had bought a Fake/ Duplicate Memory Stick Pro Duo 2GB with SONY and Magicgate written over it for Rs. 1050/- for my w800i. The dealer gave me a warranty of just 2 Days. I took the risk brought the card and tried various tests on it.

1. First did and format on phone - Pass

2. Format on PC and copy the folder structure - Pass

3. Defrag - Pass

4. Copy and Delete - Pass

5. Attach the phone with card inserted thru data cable and transfer contents - Pass (this i did bcoz the older firmware of w800i had a glitch wherein if the phone was attached to PC using USB cable with memory card then the contents of the card got corrupted)

I suggest whatever you buy (genuine / fake) then do a formatting every few months (obviously copy all the data before that)

Also to be 100% sure that you are getting a genuine card buy the same from a Sony World.
