The pricing is as follows for hynix(512MB CHIP).
Duplicate D43: 2-2.2K
Unmarked D43: 2.5-2.6K.

The one which i got are 100% genuine marked Hynix D43. And yes they usually do 280 without any trouble if you have voltage to provide.
You get what you pay for.
I bought them only after testing them to make sure these are original Hynix and not fake. the guy i knew allowed me to test before i pay him as he was 100% confident theatthese were original. So spending Rs.200 more is totally justified if you ask me. He wont cheat on me, he is my old friend. Used to work under me once
Has agreed to replace them anytime under warranty.
orig d43 is available much cheaper here, 2.2k for one stick of 512mb ddr400, while a 1gb stick costs 6250
me n dark got a gig each just some days back

Original 2.1k to 2.3k.................depends on how u bargain.
BTW in lamington road for 512Mb

I think he was talking about single 1GB stick.
These prices are inclusive of VAT by the way with bill.
And single 1GB stick here costs 5800.
And it depends on dealers too. If you go to lamington road and bargain you may get stuff cheaper. I dont have that much time. And o get after sales support from those shops is sometimes really pain in @$$.
So I have my fixed sources from whom I buy stuff. Atleast I am guaranteed good service.

infact had asked for a gig bfore but aftr seeing DJ's post i thot mayb the dealer got it wrong.

As i have said earlier I get all my stuff from either Mnemonic systems located in Borivali or my friends with whom i used to work in past.
The main reason i dont buy from L.R. is distance from my home in dahisar. It takes me an hour and half one way travel. So there goes minimum of 3 and half to 4 hours if i is to make trip there. Add to that Rs.15 for train ticket + Rs. 50 Auto travel from my house to station and back + all that train rush. And i have to do this all again if i need to replace anything. So in the end i end up spending more if I buy from Lamington.
By the way sorry for going way offtopic. I think purpose of this theread is served, Sunny sell your old stuff ASAP, in couple of months you would really not get much out of your old stuff.

oh yes their service is really good.
I know they quote considerably higher than Lamington. but he can get stuff you cant find at lamington. Specially high end motherboards, Dual opteron NF4 mobo, Opteron CPUs cooling solutions and stuff. And i think he will be able to get the original D43 for sure. I got it from my other friend.
The most important thing is the guys there are honest, they will tell that ya this is fake chip and this is original. Service is exceptional. they replaced my mobo which blew the day after i bought it on the spot.

if you are floating on sea of excess funds, why dont you give this as "contribution" to TE.
masky is one the collector(s).
This money will be returned to you when the time is right. meaning when you have collected enough to go in for a64 platform, either bought locally or from abroad.
This way.......
1) you will not have the "problem" or "tension" of excess money which is affecting ur thinking capacity.
2) You will be automatically "protected" from buying stuff which you do not need. (V. important)
3) Your name will be listed prominently in the hall of fame of TE as the largest contributor to date. i am sure the the staff will not hesitate to give you "extra" previliges for the same.
4) The money will be returned to you within 7 Days of you making the request. (provided you show proof of your intended purchases of "futuristic" components)
ps: please note that all of the above are frivilous and not to be taken seriously.
