I think with wire he meant was what if the wire got screwed up in the middle ( strengthened and broken from inside the rubber covering). As most headpones loose there wires before the speakers. So he is asking whether the cable can be replaced if damaged easily.

I doubt that; irrespective of what they say. Great sound eh? I wonder if I would say the same :P
 
The Philips are huge in size and in some time you feel as if some huge creature is sitting on your head :P Not that they are heavy or anything, they are just too damn huge. But the sound quality's good.. have to turn down the treble a bit. Rest is all boom-boom. :D

I'm currently using the Sennheiser HD202 headphones. They have excellent sound quality with just the right amount of bass and treble.

Plus a fact which I did not know before picking them up ( my uncle got it from the U.S of A :) ), they're quite small in size. So even after long usage, (and by long I mean 4-5 hours of TF2) you don't feel like removing them and throwing them away.
