Storage Solutions want a 500 gb external hdd!!!

Get the Seagate Freeagent Go Flex 500GB (2 year warranty).

Or else, opt for the Seagate Freeagent Go 500GB. A sealed one is available in our Market with 5 year warranty.

:)

^^

Is it good to take 500 GB or 1 TB External HDD of 2.5 inch ?

Could not find Seagate Freeagent Go 500GB with 5 year warranty... All are coming with 2 year warranty.

Seagate are done with there 5 years warrenty. Anyways I checked and found out 1 tb was a better deal. so went with buffalo 1 TB drivestation. but am having issues handling the intact softwares.

I have seen that higher drive capacity has higher failure rates. I may be wrong but this is what I have noticed.

But 1TB is better VFM. And yes, I noticed that Seagate have stopped the 5 year warranty on drives.

I am lucky to have one Freeagent GO that still has 4.5 years warranty remaining!!

Thank you for your suggestions, Will stay away from iOmega.

BTW, Whats intact softwares. with buffalo 1 TB drivestation ?

It was the one with encryption feature. With password protection and all. They put it in cdfs file system and it cannot be removed from the drive.
