Lol, E6600 isnt Value for money anymore?

E6420 isnt really available. Its for 9.2k or so anyways. So its not worth it.

Listen budd,

Won the prices drop a li'l by june end or so... My collg reopens on July 11th...

So I need to get the syst assembled only by tat time... Hw abt tat???

Price will drop here in July end-aug first week now.

Prices now have more or less settled to what international prices are.

6600 + P5N-E SLI is perfect combo for your price.

and you can always oc the E6600 more.

nope, P5N-E SLI is better overall motherboard. Its better ocer.

With 6420 you get 8x multiplier. And 6600Gives you 9X. That can be a good thing to have.
And overall ocing ability changes from chip to chip and from stepping to stepping.
And in any case 6420 is not much cheaper than E6600.
If you really want to save money and happy with around 3Ghz speed mark then you are better off with E4300. That is significantly cheaper. But all E6600s i have come across have easily gone past 3Ghz mark.

So the best comobo wud be a P5N-E sli and a 6600??? O'clockin above 3 ghz using stock cooler???

Pls tell me the board u've dats d deluxe.. Hw good is it???

Sound is having a problem rite???

Wat abt tat??? :(

Funky, P5N-E SLi better than P5B Deluxe?

Lol, have you lost it?

All that it has is a hotter chipset, and 1T Timings capability, which no1 will use :P. Dont tell me you need anything about 1.7vCore thats on the P5B Deluxe.

With the more mature BIOS'es, P5B Deluxe is a rock solid mobo :).

It might be but what NV chipset gives you at the moment is more flexibility. No vdroop, it is rock stable. And its nowhere as hot as my P5N32-E gets on nb. I am using P5N-E sli and i have used P5B Dlx, and P5WDH and spending 10k on p5b dlx will be madness at this point of time. Hell if you dont need more than 2.1vdimm i would tell him to settle for XFX 650i ultra.

Who said P5N-E sli is not rock solid. Sure it has issue with newer stepping of E4300s where it has some FSB holes( this issue is not there with any E6xxx cpu. only on certain new steppings of E4300) . That should be fixed. And still not much of an issue. It gives you more flexibility with async overclock, and no matter what its big advantage to have totally async oc option.

I have 1 running as we speak and makes me wonder if i made mistake buying P5N32-E SLI :P

Have you actually used the P5N-E to ridicule it? sure people using it for first time may feel it hot. but you have P5N32E, and compared to that this is nothing.

P35 might change all this. but its not available here at the moment. When it will be we will see.

Ok so wats d conclusion??? P5N-E Sli or P5B-dlx???

Lol.

Im using a P5B Deluxe right now, just wondering which board should I keep, P5N32-e SLi or P5B Deluxe.

Honestly, Im liking the P5B Deluxe better, its more rock solid, it just runs no matter what. The ghey P5N32-e SLI doesnt boot half the times, even with the latest BIOS.

For me, P5B Deluxe > P5N32-E SLI > P5N-E SLI.

Im wondering whether I made a mistake getting a damn P5N32-e SLi, when I had a great rock solid board, ie. P5B Dlx.

the latest bios is not the best one for P5N32-E SLI. I am on 903 and it boots every single time without any cold boot issue here.

P5N-E sli has not given me any problem like P5N32E initial bios releases. And like it or not P5N32-E is picky about the RAM. It does not like certain sticks for sure. But all value chips i tested ran just fine. Ballistix runs just fine. it has issue with some sticks from what i have read on XS but so far my sticks have worked fine.

Its rock solid. No reboots here. no cold boot problem. You either messed up something or got the bad board ( my 1st board i received was DOA. the first batch that came in india had some serious issues. ). As simple as that. Spending 10k on P5B deluxe is nothing but waste of 2.5k at the moment.

Its not the bad board. but its not the board to buy today.

^^ Lol!

Well, it depends.

Now If he plans on going Quad, then surely the P5B Deluxe is a much better buy.

But Even I suggested him to go for a E6600 and a P5N-e SLI anyways.

Funky, Im using 903 as well. Same issues.

I guess ill RMA the board then :/.
