depends on the packaging and the how the courier handles it.....over which you as a buyer have no control.And you will probably not get warranty if you buy second hand,so if it does die you are ****ed.
Mechanical Harddrives are very delicate,I speak from experience.
 
HDD'S received yesterday in rock solid packaging, still haven't tested it coz have to get other remaining parts of PC
