want to buy a phone with a good camera

Hey guys, my dad needs a new phone with a GOOD camera. He wants 3G and Wi-fi as well, and a decent e-mail client is also a requirement. wihch one should he get? budget is about 15k max

I guess he should opt for a Samsung Galaxy i7500. It has a decent 5MP snapper.

Also, has 3G, Wifi & support for email.

DO remember that it runs Android 1.5 & Android 2.1 official won't be available; ever!

U may even consider the Samsung Jet.

Or you may opt for the newly launched Nokia E52.

It has a 3.2 MP camera.

But, I generally advice people to stay away from the dated Symbian Os these days.....

N79 is also a great phone. It has all of the above requirements of yours. Its selling for around 12k I think.

Yeah, the N79 is a really good phone as well.....

But, there are waves that the N79 is about to be discontinued.....

Heard it from my dealer first & then noticed that very few dealers in Irla stock the N79 these days......

It might just be a rumor but I still feel that it is actually possible considering that the N79 has come of age now..... And Nokia has a bad repute of discontinuing models for unknown reasons (N81, N82, N85, N95, N96 etc.).....

hey guys thanks a lot but i read on gsmarena that the N79's camera was at best average for a 5MP snapper...and its also a year and a half old model

How about the SE Elm? sony ericsson cameras are pretty good, right?
Wi-fi is not an absolute necessity. So are there any non-wi-fi phones with a good 5MP cam? Is the 6700 slide a good option?
As for Galaxy, my dad does not want an Android phone, he thinks its too difficult to use!

So how good camera does he want? If your preference is more on the camera you can try the new Spice S120 or something like that which has a 12MP camera with 3x optical zoom. It's priced at around Rs.16k I guess.
