Want to buy an android for Mom within 8-10k

Now i don't much know how this goes but lets try...

I am planning to get the phone next week. So kindly suggest as per the following:

Questions:-
1. Q: Budget?
A: 8-10k +/- 1k

2. Q: Preferred Form Factor(flip, bar, slider)?
A: Touch/Bar

3. Q: Preferred display type?
A: TFT/AMOLED/Anything that looks better

4. Q: Do you have any brand preference or dislike? Please name them.
A: Any

5. Q: Preferred input method (Touchscreen, QWERTY, etc.)?
A: Touchscreen

6. Q: Camera required or not? If required, please specify type like front camera/flash/etc.
A: Required a 5MP camera. Flash.

7. Q: Preferred operating system? (Android, Symbian, iOS, Windows Phone etc).
A: Android

8. Q: Preferred connectivity options? (3G, Wifi, Edge etc).
A: 3G/wifi

9. Q: What is your intended use for this phone(internet, camera, multimedia, mails, etc)?
A: Camera, "facebooking", twiitter, Lots of calls and messaging

10. Q: Any other requirements?
A: Don't require dual sim, should have a decent battery backup

11. Q: If you have already considered a phone then please mention the model.
A: HTC Explorer/Spice Mi 425/Galaxy Y

She already owns a Defy and the screen has gone kaput due to immense "attyachar" on the phone. Want something better or equivalent as she is not a heavy OS user but prefers touch.

Kindly suggest accordingly. No other OS than Android please.

Also have a query can the explorer run temple run, and multitask decently? I am more inclined towards it, but the Explorer is running 600mhz proccesor and it makes me a bit skeptical.

I believe the Spice was already rejected as an option by OP.
I was hoping you suggested something new.

And regarding the Spice option, it has a screen resolution of 480 x 800 and the same GPU has to draw 4 times more pixel in comparison to the Explorer. I guess the Spice option would lag out of the box.
