Want to buy cookware for my mother

Hi,

I want to buy cookware for my mother. I came across 'Sanjeev Kapoor's GasOven Tandoor' ( STAR CJ Internet Shopping Mall )

As per the product's description it can also be used for roasting and barbeque.

Does anyone has any idea about this product, or any other such product....:huh:

in my years of experience never buy a woman : mom / gf / wife anything related to cooking as a suprise :P , gift them vouchers / cash / take them out shopping or ask them what they want casually and then give it to them some time later
 
Well, my mother has seen the ad of this on TV. So, she like the features of the product.

Just want to know if any one has any suggestion/opinion about this product or if there is any other such product available....
 
Dude, this is just a glorified gas tandoor.. you will get better and bigger ones at 1/6th the price in the market..

just ask for a gas tandoor !!!

^ Using something like this at my place since ages and let me put it straight, NOTHING can replace this, and yes its pretty cheap and long lasting..
 
Thanks Tech_enthu....even my grand mother used to have this, on which she used to cook 'roasted chicken' :) ! Don't know where it is now...

Maybe Sanjeev Kapoor's GasOven Tandoor' is more of a hype...he is charging premium for giving his name to tandoor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
