want to increase wifi range

my house is 1000sqft and now after renovation my pc is shifted to the end of the bedroom and ther is very low signal in hall and the connection disappears at the end of the hall, now my dad actually works at the end of the hall so he is :@:@:@

currently iam using belkin ka sasta sundar tikao "G" 54 mbps.

is ther any solution for a better range (longer range) i dnt want the jhanjat of extenders and stuff

N300 routers. But they r expensive. Considering ur area, we r talking abt a cost of around 6-7k. Or better, check if you can find a small office solution. Netgears N router range is pretty good.
 
see if u can keep router in some free space, not immediately next to a wall/metallic/magnetic items. if there is antenna, try repositioning it.
 
Get the Play Max from Belkin. It is Dual Band.

Will cost you upto Rs.8k but will be DD-WRT capable(just check DD-WRT website before purchase)
