Want to purchase some GOODIES for my DIGICAM

hi, i have SONY DSC H10 DIGICAM. I want to purchase some goodies for my cam i am new in the field of Digicam thus i want to know how i can take care of my cam.
I want to protect the lens from dust and unwanted fingerprints, so tell me what to purchase for it. Some where i read that protective lens are available for this purpose. is it right? and how much it costs me?

Also is it okay to protect the LCD screen of my cam by having a protecting film over it. I contacted at the sony showroom for this purpose but they are charging very much for it(i.e. around 600 bucks). So advice me is it okay to cover the screen with some type of cold lamination or hot lamination which is also used to protect the screen of mobiles. I f there is another solution then please tell me.

When have spent a good amount of money on the camera why u wanna go for el cheapo screen protectors??.My suggestion get the original one

Umm, here're my recos:

1. Screen protectors - yes, please go ahead with a 3" protector. It shouldn't cost more than Rs.250 at a reputed camera store. Seriously, Rs.600 is a typical Sony World ripoff. I have a Rs.250 protector (hard lamination) on my A300 which has served very well for a long while now.

2. Lens protectors - nothing like simply using the hood that came with the camera. I'm guessing your camera came with a hood that is.

3. You can look at buying a gorillapod for p&s. they're simple, convenient and great to carry around!

1. to protect the lens, as payne said hood is enough...

no need to go for uv filters....

2. Sony screen protectors are not more than 200...

get them from any local sony dealer...

no need to go for authorized sony dealer...

Cheap mobile screen protectors are also good...

I had used them in camera...

But take care not to get the extremely thin ones... and get them changed in every 2-3 months..

3. as Payne told, gorilla tripod will be a good accessory for u...

dont go for any hot or cold lamination...
mobile screen protectors are just like stickers, same as camera one, but thinner...
