i want to start a new discussion forum online with a dedicated domain name. (newbee)
Is Web host needed for forum?
please help me where can i get the lowest cost domain name + hosting?

Try Domain Names, Domain Registration India, Web Hosting, Domains , Great pricing, iam using it myself for hosting.But i registered domain with net4in.You also get a few free discussion board software like phpbb etc. One click install.

Or you can use forum software like vbulletin which is paid software but really good i believe.Ubuntu forums, one of the most active forums around also uses vbulletin.

Tech enclave is using vbulletin too.So choice is upto you.
 
hi, well, its not just about hosting and community, you need to think beyond that.

You need to thin like which forum software you are going to use, will it be IPB, vB, phpBB etc etc.

If you talk about host, most of the times cheapest = worst.

Even i have started a new forum (Politics + Tech), and have hosted in US servers and they are really good and fast.
