Wanted : Upmixer

Some kind of ripper that can possibly turn my CDs to a 5.1 sourced Mp3 or FLAC[ no OGG]...ive tried some but their "5.1" sourced Mp3s werent any different from the "As source"

Well CDs don't have 5.1 content so there is no converter to 5.1. Storing stereo as 5.1 seems like a senseless waste of space to me. Since u have an audigy2 zs, just rip them to FLAC and then use CMSS to upmix to 5.1. Seems plain and simple to me :S

i do that...but i was hoping through the wondrous miracle of modern technology we could somehow do it
