It's quite well configed with C2D T6600, Nvidia G210M. You won't get Any GPU options in Inspiron IMHO. So that's a quite good advantage for 42K price.
On the other side there's a disadvantage of OS in sony. It's home basic 64bit. IT would have been better if it would be HOme Pre. Plus ram is only 2 GB. But these both things can be upgraded letter on by spending some amount.
It's better if OP describes his/her purpose/usage, so we can give some point blank suggestions.

Dell is great in performance but If you are looking for a good deal you can wait for November end where Acer is planning to launch Acer 5738PzG a multi-touch laptop. I heard it is within 42K.esmartadityaa said:
