Warcraft Query....!!!

Hi everyone

Its a really noob question that I am gonna ask. Actually I just remember playing a RPG sort of mission in Warcraft 3 (Dunno if it was frozen throne or not) where i could increase the levels of my character by completing missions etc.

Now I did like that gameplay very much but since I have no idea whether or not there are games similar to it. The only RPG I have played is Fallout 3 :) and it was totally different in its approach.

I just wanted to know whether there are games which have a similar gameplay as the warcraft one I played. If yes kindly give in suggestions to such games. (Any time period would do... old or new)

the map that u played is dota in warcraft tft
dota is the first most lan played game in the world
next to it is counter strike

u better start playin dota lan in garena.com

I saw a few pics of the the above games and they do not seem to be similar to the type of game I'm talking about.

the gameplay I was talking about was the campaign included in warcraft 3 : frozen throne - Bonus Campaign: The Founding of Durotar

I am interested to play a game similar to it since I enjoyed it a lot and therefore being very particular.:D

the hero and leveling concept was quite unique to warcraft, dunno if others have it..but whats the harm in playing warcraft itself?
 
I think you should try Dota as you may find it particularly appealing with the warcraft style leveling, items and heroes.

The mini-campaign where u play as Rexxar and some of his friends.

U want games similar to this..

Have u seen Diablo? it is similar to this. Only thing is you always control only one character. If that is ok, then you will love it. Also, it looks quite old, but that shouldnt matter.

Spellforce 2 is a game which has similar gameplay, but in some missions it goes back to base building like in rest of Warcraft.

Dragon Age, from what I have seen has similar gameplay where u and ur band of allies go about doing quests. (I havent played this one though.)

I would say first try Diablo 2, see if u like it. It is an epic game.
 
dragon age is good,but sometimes exceedingly boring with too much talking,Right now am stuck in the FADE part :(

yup..totally agree with you. its very boring to continue talking with every person marked with X or down arrow.
but some of the fights are awesome. i'm currently in relington village.
