Here's something which I came across, not sure if it was posted previously, if yes you can probably ignore.

The poster goes by the title "unonymouz" and was posted on Sep 23, 2010.

Please do not visit techenclave for tech issues. This website is only concerned with helping you spend your money, and any request, no matter how well mannered, will be not answered. It is not their job to answer. But it is their job to recommend hardware to you from the best sources, and threaten, insult and ban you because they are loyal, addicted, or love their website. If it goes bad, then do not expect any help because most of them are too busy to even notice. And if you do get their attention, you will have to be extremely polite and cater to petting their ego.

I had an awful experience with this website. I atleast got better response from an overseas website. I would not recommend anybody to visit techenclave, or Prime ABGB. I will never again ask indian websites, or indian people for help. They are not well mannered and people on techenclave DO NOT take criticism at all. At all. They are much too ill-mannered and rich for that.

Grey does not matter there. They say that their job is to suggest hardware, and they are not paid to help you figure out problems. I don't think you need many IQ points to spend money.

In short, Techenclave is a private party, and if you are irritated with your problems consult a donkey before you consult techenclave.

This guy "unonymouz" is gone nuts..
" I will never again ask indian websites, or indian people for help." :@
I will be more happy if some one does not ask questions :)

Sounds like a compliment if you ask me.

Didn't we have some guy who was expecting Prime ABGB's employee to know about certain technical specs but blasted on the general section because he was unable to answer? Its about power supply. Its one of those with pimp lights and stuff. I think the date of that post and this post is pretty much on the same time frame.

i remember someone getting pissed off at primeabgb for some hardware issue and then started abusing ,then got banned or something similar :P

Yes because he left his pc with prime and they were not doing something with the rma.
I think the thread was closed and user banned.
Why bother so late. Even he posted it on the complaint board last year.

Yep this is the same guy. He was even being helped out on his PC problem (which was apparently unidentifiable) by cranky and iGo iirc and they too backed out after he made some comments regarding Faheem's Laptop issue on the same complaint board. I remember this incident particularly because of the guys stupid rants against everyone.

Really this guy is nuts. I remember the grande (SUCK) treatment I got at Techpowerup when I tried to start a green initiative (under volt your CPUs and GPUs to save power!)

RED = Incorrect

Green = Correct

Blue = Hes a n00b

No offence :D

I remember this chap. He had some weird computer problems and instead of handling it like a cool guy, he ended up taking it all out on TE and Prime.

A pity as he seems to be quite a nice guy on CGtantra forum. Hes a forum leader there apparently.

Donkeys can often be quite profound...

Going thru unonymouz's rant threads, it feels, he should have gone to a hardware technician instead of sitting idly for 15 days. In the first place, shouldn't have opted for assembled computer.

It seems this guy got unlucky. This was the thread that did it.

http://www.techenclave.com/cpu-mobo-corner/kernel-power-41-problems-detected-during-174663.html

He had 7 posts. Then he started to complain in GT 2 weeks after, on that day he got 7 more for his trouble.

But it was too late because at that point he'd already handed over his whole rig. So, due to the bad service he got at Prime he just went nuts as ppl recommend prime here and had a go at the board. Thats it in a nutshell.

I can see where he's coming from but the big mistake he made was handing over the rig so soon. He should have just bumped his orginal thread some more and held on to the rig a bit longer. It can be maddening when you have a problem and nobody seems to notice it. Got to hang in there or have other sites to post at as well. This only comes from experience.

When he talks about intl sites, the answers tend to be very good but recommends on what to buy are not applicable here. ASUS is big abroad, first thing they tell you to go for. But here in India if you go with ASUS you could be in trouble as the ASS is really ASS! going by what i've read here.

So yes, as a site for advice on what to buy IN INDIA, i think TE has a unique niche. Things like media players, phones, 3rd party stuff, there is what is said abroad and what is avialiable in INDIA. The problem i see with this is one guy says look i got this, somebody else get it and so on, next thing you know there is an army of ppl recommending that product. Now there could be other alternatives out there but due to lack of exposure everybody will recommend the one they know.

I don't know how you can discount for this sort of bias other than to search yourself and take a risk. Not many will bother. So in the end the forum gets a rep for certain products, its almost like tunnel vision. You think you are getting the best product but you're not, not always anyway, you're getting the most popular product on the board.

this is sad actually.

Meanwhile even i see a lot less technical posts here nowadays. On a Tech site we're mostly doing market trading :)
