my laptop (MSi X-340) had a 2 year warranty(from manufacturers date),its expired in march..

it had a WD 320gb hdd which was replaced by the servicing center(authorised) and they put in a WD 500gb hdd as they did not have a 320gb one..

But now a few months later the 500GB has gone kaput but laptop is not in warranty,is there any way to claim warranty on the hdd?

thank you.

the hdd is not in warranty as in it says its not a stand alone product..

so if my laptop had only 1 year warranty and the hdd went kaput in 14 months i wont get warranty on that..that kinda sucks big time

considering hdd prices, don't feel like spending 4.5k on a 500gb hdd now..

Guess have no choice buy to buy a new hdd or laptop..

#[member='dgeneration911'] have you checked its warranty. Ad it is a replaced HDD, chance is there that it might be a regular HDD
