Watching Tv during thunderstorms

Watch Cable TV is a risk yes.

But I think with Set Top Boxes, the Box would blow right? Not the TV?

Also, you can easily watch a DVD or something, We have Spike protectors for a reason :).
 
the STB is connected to the TV via the antenna port na.

Also the local so called 'spike busters' are a POS.
 
My Ethernet Card got fried once and the UPS incurred some internal damage

but thankfully the PC was okay otherwise. :D
 
@ Quickfire: Your a lucky guy, your pc is safe.

@ Aditya: I doubted that if you have a set top box, only setup box will be roasted.

Removing the plug and waiting till the storm is calm is the best option.
