Athough 24 is unique in terms of presentation...

As far as characters go:

Michael Scofield for inteligence...charm and composure

Jack Bauer for tenacity/flamboynce

Dexter for being that charming...sweet...friendly evil.

^^Kickass.. absolutely kickass. I loved Farscape. Another amazing series which got canned midway was Firefly. 24 is good for slick presentation more than anything else.

Avatar- the last air bender and initial D series are in my list. Prison break is amazing but saw pilot episode of knight rider '08 and cant wait to see the series.

Battlestar galactica, stargate SG-1 (just started watching and loving it), Becker, Sopranos and 24.

Besides these i like Prison Break, heroes, stargate atlantis, entourage, friends, scrubs, Seinfeld and many more.
