you think cs didn't bring anything to gaming ?
you are terribly misinformed then.it brought competitive gaming to the fore like no game before it.
i said it didn't bring anything big
competitive gaming is not what CS brought its what gamers started doing, any game would be competitive if its good.

Note that I said in most cases. I started my gaming "career" with consoles at the age of 3 and played them until I was introduced to PC multiplayer gaming when I was 15. You could say I was a hardcore console gamer as I played a lot of games and always tried to get better at them. However, they sure didn't match up to the challenge that came up when playing against other human players.
i never said anything about multiplayer or single payer comparison,i'm talking about what CS having a big name when other games are much bigger
PC gaming, with the early advent of multiplayer has long been the de facto standard for "hardcore" gaming.By hardcore I don't mean time you put into playing games but how good you can possibly get at a game or two before you reach a saturation point that offers little to no rewards.
then you are wrong and you should use the word hardcore cause it doesn't mean how much good you are at a game
you can't jst say and word and then say i mean this by saying it
hardcore gaming is simply defined as playing games regularly and following gaming
a person knowing nothing about games genrally and going to a gaming cafe and playing CS 24/7 is not a hardcore gamer
This happens a lot with Console gaming since most of it was single player content against AI that followed the same patterns every time. Sure multiplayer has improved a lot but it hasn't reached the level of PC gaming just yet.
why are you even comparing single player thing?
multiplayer is very much big on consoles, you are very mistaken if you think not
Consoles are also marketed towards the average joe and not the hardcore gamer.
sorry i have to say this but you are just repeating the same thing again and again and you are a big fool
PC gaming and becoming the best doesn't have anything to do with being 'hardcore' gaming
you are tyalking like one of those cheapo players who just plays CS all the time in the cafe, knows nothing about games and thinks he is a professional
and console gaming is no average joe thing, most PC gamers just pirate games and console games are way more costly so average joe thing doesn't even mean anything here
For example, PC gamers are commonly written off as nerds while owning a console makes you look like a cool kid.
all gamers are known as geeks not nerds.
and no there is not much difference about being cool and geeky about PC and consoles
and playing CS more known as COOL
Again this is a generalization going by the state of the video game industry today. Sure there are many games on consoles that are as difficult or challenging as a PC game but they are a minority.
you need to look at the industry then say those things
Most console buyers (I wouldn't call them gamers) prefer chilling out with their friends and playing Guitar Hero over a beer or two.
now you really don't knmow anything about gaming.............CONFIRMED
guitar hero has been dead for some time now,its sales are so low
and the COOL thing you are talking about is with every industry as whatever things becomes popular, the amercians, indians just blindly follow it and but labeling consoles as it is wrong
Due to this, the kind of titles that are pushed towards the platforms are often dumbed down to meet the requirements of the consumer base.
no they are not.
its cause of publisher trying to get the game out in time thing.
There are plenty of console players who could kick my ass in a few games, I'm not denying that at all... but it simply isn't true when you look at numbers.
why do you think its about you and how good you are in gaming, nobody is even talking about you here
As for FPS games, they might sell a lot on consoles but most of them are dumbed down to make them easier to play on controllers
lmao
they aren't dumed down because of controllers
(AND TO CATER TO THE TARGET CONSUMERS WHO ARE AVERAGE JOES, NOT HARDCORE GAMERS) as opposed to the games you play using a mouse and keyboard on PC.
so playing games on mouse and keyboard make it hardcore and hardcore and makes console gamers average joe.............................lol
MW2 may have sold a lot more on consoles but including the console version in a tournament that looks to test skill over the PC version would simply be a poor choice.
no it wouldn't as people like to play on contollers
Mouse and keyboard allow for so much more when it comes to FPS as the entire genre was designed around that input device combination.
so jst because the genre was designed on PC with Wolf it can't go anywhere else?
i'm not saying that mouse and keyboard aren't good for playing FPS,but there is no harm in adding it
It's the same thing with RTS where clicking with a mouse and pressing multiple keys plays a HUGE role in the basic design of the game and motion controls isn't going to change this.
so??????
Now, most games that have competitive scenes following them are played on PC so it's no wonder WCG and other tournaments host them and not as many console games.
its also because there aren't many console gamers in india as people just don't buy expensive things
and even worldwide console gamers play on PSN and XBL than competing in competitions
