Hi guys

Its jst for dumping movies games...etc:bleh:

Expecting a swift reply...:)

Without question WD MyBook. Apart from reliability & speed, it looks cool. Also if you have oodles of free time, you can actually make it look like a good old leather book [Google for the deviantart project]. Got rid of my Seagate for this. You can have a stack of 1TB WD MyBook next to each other which is not possible in Seagate because of the Base Stand.

^ I would go for Seagate for above reasons.

these warranties are only for externals though. both WD and seagate internals have 5 year warranty.

I recently purchased this hard disk.. After i plugged it into my lappy i noticed tht the available disk space is just 931GB. What happend to the remaining 70GB???

Hi Manu,

So which one did u finally go for?

M caught in a similar situation?

Dnt know which one shld i go for?

a external Seagate/WD 1 TB?

or go for an internal 1 TB seagate/WD and then put it in external casing with a USB wire???

Which option would be cheaper & reliable??? Gonna use it for dumping my Multi Media stuff..

Rgds...

WD is much more reliable than seagate. I will not like my hard disk crashing and my files getting obliterated forever for a mere two years more warranty

Hey Ppl,

Me still waiting for a reply to gor INternal 1 TB or external 1TB?

Though my h/w retailer suggested to go 4 external hdd as sometimes the internal hdd put into an external casing has problems of getting detected..

If external shld i go for Seagate or WD???

Though seagate is cheaper by around 200 bucks and offers 5 yr warranty WD offers 3 yrs waranty & home pickup/delivery for RMS...

Though Seagate seems to be having too many critics on this forum..
