Had sent some WD drives for RMA , got them back almost after 2 months. Have already bought 2 spare drives during the wait period so these are all up for sale !

BTW.The 20EARS drive is a 3 platter drive if i am not wrong .

Well , if its date of manufacture is september and prior then it is a 4 platter which had a high failure rate / I-O errors but then WD revised it to 3 platters . They were better in terms of performance too .
Faheem , wats the manufacture dates on the 2 TB`s .. ?

Err where do i check that ? Right now in college, will go home & check .

EDIT : if you check the snaps of the drive ,the sticker on the drive shows date as JAN 2011 . Is that the date of manufacture ?

Yeah , that`s it dude . I need to think about it coz i am more inclined to get 2 x 2TB WD BLACK .

Also for those who are PMing me asking if both the 2TB drives are for 4200 .:rofl: Let me make it clear, each one is for 4200 :P .

Bump for the 2TB drives. Anyone who is buying both can take it for 8300 shipped or 8200 local-pickup. :)

just out of curiosity.. where are the green coloured labels that come on this particular drive?? or is this some other version.. i mean WD blue / WD black?

These are WD 2TB Green drives. (WD20EARS ) with 3 platters. The are re-certified drives back from RMA hence there are no green labels on the drive.

Bump for both the WD 2TBs and price drop as well .

Picked up the 2TB WD20EARS-3-Platter version form Faheem @ 10am. Deal went damn smoothly => I'm very^n happy with the HDD.
