Eazy , i am reading the newegg reviews.

Poor , Very poor category
They were
1.> all DOA
2.> crashed while formating for the first time
3.> while installing os for the first time
4.> some users said , some grinding noise came.

am using this drive and have had none of the issues .. but i havent installed any o/s on it , its more sensible to get a smaller drive for that

i think most DOA are due to shipping damages on these HDD let it be any drive of any company .

I think half the reviews for hdd comes when it fails...if its good no one bother to write......because loss of data is almost like a heart attack

100 working HDDs and there will be less posts in forums about them compared to one DOA HDD hyeah:

@200mph, I have not checked yet but I have heard that there are many posts of problems with the new F1 1TB Samsungs in the NewEgg reviews page for that HDD.

I dont the F1 drives are available in lower capacities than right now in any case, and the 1 TB drive is a bit pricey. 750 GB seems to be the sweet spot for 6.9k
