Well, not everybody needs a RAID setup. A RAID based setup like you mentioned is fine for important data(Work Data and Photos in my case), but for movies, music, etc. a large dump drive which is reasonably reliable is fine.

@MAGNeT 3 years is not less warranty, maybe cloud storage becomes cheaper in 3 years itself.
PS: I use cloud storage for my important data.

Bro that is old model...All new models have 2yrs warranty currently from past 2yrs

Yes i planned to get the red disk .Getting black 3tb for 16k doesnt look logical as data is important but not VVimp type.
