If you want to buy a 500Gigz then pick up a Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 500GB for 2700 bucks!

One TB black is available, not sure about smaller sizes.
You could go for the 640Gb caviar blue @ 3.4 k.
It matches the black one in many performance benchmarks.
