I am about to receive my WD passport 320GB in 2 days ordered from ebay.
I want to know about its power requirments.

It consumes 1000ma or 1A of power against the 500mah of power offered by each usb port on the motherboard (IP35-E).
Would there be anykind of problem with this ?
 
Well it does come with wire having two usb @ one End .. for power purpos but my existing drive works well ..even when one usb is connected..
 
donot worry ...if u need u can buy this cable separately...

mostly u never going to need it.

u connect usb to motherboard io panel no issues..

problem may arise when u try to connect the same from cabinet usb header.
