i went to ritchie street in chennai last weekend. Even there all the prices of HDD's have risen by 6% or so. So postponed my buy. The shopkeepers were blaming the dollar price rise and petrol price rise...:@
 
With the flooding in Thailand & surrounding areas, the HDD production/manufacturing has been hit... so the prices COULD go up further!
 
^. he does not have any stock. It will be available after Diwali then only he can give updated prices. I spoke to him last week..
 
I am interested in 1 if these are not OEM drives. I do not want to repeat the incident happened with mediahome. The drive is still lying, gathering dust because it was DOA and when went to replace, it was classified as OEM drive.
