Forget it, its part of the music industry now.
If you look at the 80s, few pop stars came out.. they were either ridiculed, or increased their sales slightly by appealing to niche "gay" audiences..

Hell, David Bowie came out on his WIFE's advice that he'd sell more records!!!! Some crazy $hit..
