I have tried the place before ... but the setting on HTC is different from the values given there. So i was unable to make a connection. ... i.e. why i requested him for the settings if he has it connected.
Its named differently.

Basically on HTC press Menu and go to settings > Wireless & Networks > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names.

Here click menu and select new APN.

Give Name as Vodafone_www (this can be anything really, does not matter)

APN as www

And leave everything as it is. Click menu here and save, hit back button once and click on the newly created APN and you should be good to go.

the so many other options present is wht confused me actually. I tired the above and it started working. But browsing speed is a bit low. I tried the market and too some time to load the list of apps. Thanks for the help shr(ipad). ;)

@krugar-

Could you please tell me the entire setting values, i need to configure my spica

its exactly same as I posted.

Basically you need to just put in values for first two settings in any Android Phone and leave everything else to as it is and save that APN and vodafone mobile connect should start working.

Sorry, I didn't see your request earlier but yes I can confirm that what Shripad has posted is working well for me. Speeds are average but then, I don't really expect much from an EDGE connection in terms of speed.
