PC Peripherals Weird Fan noise

My lancool 140mm case fan makes rattling sound while stopping only. Else when its starting up or running at full speed no rattling sound comes. while stopping, sound is like its coming to a halt abruptly.

I tried fastening the screws holding it but no difference. has it gone bad or does it need a drop of oil somewhere?
 
Ask Phoenix for a replacement. if you tamper with the fan, they may not honor it at all. I think the fans do come under the warranty. Could be a bad bearing.
