knocking on heavens door.
Explorer
okey...here's the story

Motherboard - P8Z68 Deluxe

Cpu - 2500k

Ram - value select DDr3

The issue

the darn thing crashes @ even the OS installation screen

2 main error [BSOD] creeps up....

either

Uncorrectable Hardware ERROR

OR

Machine Check Exception
tried many things....swapping RAMS to GPU to HDD....but no avail......

so help me guys

tried with single stick...new HDD[AHCI/IDE]

a brief message shows up @ bios " no physical disk found"

is there anyway that the mobo cannot detect any harddisk ? although showing it @ BIOS

heres the BSOD code if anyone need it

0x0000009C,(0x0000000000000000,0xFFFFF88009F1B70,0 x00000000000000000x0000000000000000)

machine_check_exception

in short NO LUCK

Is there only a single HDD installed in your system or multiple HDDs... and if there are two or more HDDs then are they of the same manufacturer? If there are multiple HDDs installed then i would advice you to remove the other HDDs and try to install OS using a single HDD...

Don't worry about the message 'no physical disk found'. It always comes during boot.

using P67 deluxe and it comes at every boot.

The error is most probably related to CPU , mobo or RAM. You have deluxe mobo, can you just check if any red led continuously lit while boot on motherboard. Also check the number on status LED's.

hokey...so anyone in KOLKATA has a 1155 CPU that you can lend me for testing?

please help me guys...

just need to determine who's the culprit here...mobo or proccy

its giving the same error @ 3.3GHZ @ 1.25V...am gonna test it again with a new proccy...so if anyone can help me out by lending me with his chip it will be great...

Brand new processor or did you buy it from someone? Maybe the service centre guys can take a look at the chip and see if it working on their board. If its not, has to be the processor.

Edit: Try reseating the processor. Make sure the pins are not bent on the socket. Are you using any graphic card or sound card/any other cards?

You still not able to install an OS, or you moved beyond that...? As Sorcerer said, if really in doubt take it to a service center and they can check the CPU on a guaranteed working motherboard. They might charge you for this. But you can root out one probable factor.

Let us know.

Then you have 2 options:

1. Test your CPU on a motherboard which has been working.
2. Test a working CPU on your motherboard.

That is about it.

What I meant to ask was is it a second hand or did you buy it in retail? Is this is the first thing happening ever since you bought it?

If only you were in Mumbai.

Take it to the mobo dealer and ask him to test it with his cpu?

Did you mean 'doomed' one?

presto:P
