CPU/Mobo Weird Problem

My comp suddenly froze when i was surfing and then when i tried to restart.... there was nothing on the screen...though the cpu lights were on n the cdrw light also did blink...i unplugged n plugged in all the cables n restarted but still there was no display....i thought the monitor was gone...

but now after one hour everything is working fine again!

I fail to understand wat has happened? is it monitor related or something else..
 
News Flash....i heard atleast 3 more ppl have had the exact same problem!!
They latest on this problem is that...most ppl using EXATT had this problem n every1 pc wouldnt restart...but the problem corrected itself in abt 45 mins everywhere...
 
If the People you are talking about live in the same apartment-block or around the same area - the reason could be an electrical surge in the area or even lighting.

Or it could be some random electrical pulses or an storm that played havoc.
