BTW there isn't anything wrong with your AVR. You must be trying to do the video passthrough on a 4K TV and the old AVRs don't do 4K@60Hz. Since they are limited to only 30Hz, the video is supper choppy. A remedy could be the video directly fed via HDMI (no passthrough) and audio be routed via optical cable back to the AVR.
