100+ on a bike on public roads, especially in India? you are definitely suicidal. I would advise you to have a serious rethink about your bike riding habits.

Doesn't matter on highways, I usually average 100 on national highways when the road is pretty good. Otherwise, I keep to an average of 80.

In the city, well, I cycle :P

Today i faced a funny-dangerous situation coming back from college on evening..

On afternoon, got a call from college, so have to rush there (approx 90km from my home), while returning on evening, i was speeding on highway, since i was having the home keys and mom was about to arrive

So here the situation started, i was cruising at constant speed of 105-110 on highway (its a 4-lane which stretches 75km on my way )

The scene started, when i had overtaken a Swift filled with 4-5 guyz.

All was going well, until a Signal appeared after 2-3km, and i stopped there, then the same swift came and the driver parked the car in front of my bike, blocking my way. Then one guy came out of the car, and furiously started saying

Guy>>> Kyun be, Kzma buy karke khudku Hrithik Samajra
Me>> Hrithik nai, Valentino Rossi Samajta
before he could say anything else, i asked >> Aap apne aapku pandu samajte kya, jo idar speeding ke lie chalan kaatne ku aagye ...:bleh:

Our conversation was so loud that, everyone waiting in the signal started laughing on my comment . Seeing this his 2-3 more friends started getting out of the car angrily :(

And with God's wish, Signal got green and i flied from that spot :bigok:

Can anyone share if he/she had similar experience on highway's, if yes share some nice way to tackle this type of guyz

Still waiting for explanation why would signals be there in highway.. and if anyone else other than OP found a traffic signal in highway!!

^He was on the highway to hell, from the signal - you either go straight to hell, left to purgatory or right to limbo. But there is no turning back.

See The high-way via which i come, crosses the Raipur city via outer, but at a point there comes a junction where you can either go inside the city or continue highway, at that junction comes the signal :)

Anyway on my stretch, i face approx 7-8 signals in total :P

I wonder if either of you have tried an emergency stop at those speeds. Enjoy your time on this planet, ....

@TheIndian , i had done emergency braking at 100-110 several times :D

Once one truck took the wrong turn and came in front of me, that's the most strongest braking i had done in my life. Gone from 110-0 in just 30-40 meters i think so :)

In case of emergency braking never fear :), just pull front brake 40%, rear brake 20%, and start down shifting asap like 5th to 4th > release cluth, 4th to 3rd > release clutch, 3rd to 2nd release clutch.. If you have confidence while driving, you can easily do it :)

How do u measure if the brakes are at 40% and 20%.. what if they are a bit higher.. say 45%.. will the bike skid taking me along.. damn.. i m scared now..

Its just approximation, i am not asking to use it accurately :P

It you push the rear brake hard, and clutch is disengaged, then bike will surely slip :). You tyres also need to be in good form
