Guys I'm using Spice Mi-270 ( Android 2.2) phone. And I'm looking forward for having suggestions on best available mobile internet plans in India for surfing the net and bit of downloading as well (mostly android apps) and I don't wanna big hole in my pocket. Speed will be my main concern and two to three GB in total for month will do for me on a mobile internet connection. So please suggest accordingly.

Regards

if you want 3G,then bsnl mobile has best plan---

700 rs per month and that has 2 gb in built and 100 rs per gb if you go beyond 2gb.

for 2G,airtel or almost all give 2gb for 98-99 rs.

try to get it on network newest and least no. of users.

like uninor or alike,.

docomo too has 2gb for Rs.751/- prepaid but i doubt coverage in your area.

Reliance has 2GB for 750/- and also has coverage in your area. AFAIK speeds are good with reliance.

for docomo its 10p/10Kb for Post Free Usage with Validity left..reliance did not mention anything on the website (it'll be 10p/10kb i guess) but sure can be found out by asking CC before availing connection

I can manage with 2G only if 3G is going to burn a big whole in my pocket. I think DOCOMO gives something like RS 100/- for 4GB for two months ( 2GB uses per month ) and Aircell giving like RS 60/- for 3GB per month. Are these good ones and what about there max speed limitations and what is average speed in real world you guys/gals are getting with these.

What SIM you using now ? Because if there is a decent plan in your operator why to change it (unless you plan to port number to an operator with better internet plans). I find 3G ridiculously expensive so won't talk about that. For 2G here are my takes. Not in any order of preference

1. Airtel
Plan - 2GB/98 Rupees per month
Decent and consistent speeds, wide connectivity.

2. Reliance
Plan - 3GB/99 Rupees per month (please confirm)
Very good speeds. I have had constant DL speeds of 30+ kBps

3. Tata docomo
Plan - Various (1GB for 21 days for 48 rupees, 2GB/65 rs/30 days and so on)
Poor tata docomo connectivity (in many areas, not all). Use it in 3G mode to get consistent 128kbps speeds(it is capped). This is better than GSM mode since speeds in EDGE will keep on shooting up and down.

4. Vodafone
Plan - 99 rupees for 2GB or 3G data (dont remember)
Good speeds and wider network.

Others never tried.
