What are these cables?

Not sure whether this is the right place to ask but what exactly are these cables?

Checked in Google and I see the second one is display port cable. That is something obsolete? Or still in use? Came with Dell professional monitor as far as I remember but I don't think the monitor had such a port!

yep, it's a type a to type b 3.0 male

as for the display port cable, it is superior and cooler

Yes. It is superior to hdmi and free to license. Most graphics cards have 3 DisplayPorts and only 1 hdmi port.

The second one is called Display Port (DP) and it's just a display port as the name implies. It's similar to VGA port, HDMI but much better I guess. I currently use this.
