What does it mean by OEM

Hi All,

Mostly i am seeing Original Equipment manufacturer, in may of the online stores.
Does it mean original ? or any fake items ?

Ideally it means 'Original' but many Chinese sellers on ebay are using the 'OEM' nomenclature to con people in believing that the (fake) items are Original.

So, it ultimately depends upon whom u buy the stuff from.

OEM doesn't mean that its a fake item

An Original equipment manufacturer, or OEM, manufactures products or components

that are purchased by a company and retailed under the purchasing company's brand

name. OEM refers to the company that originally manufactured the product

I have a Samsung monitor made for Zenith Computers ( brand is Zenith & OEM is Samsung )

Most sellers on eBay just add OEM to fool ppl. So be careful.

^^ Yeah.... It is better to check the feedback for the ebay dealer before buying. Anything less than 98-99% should be avoided.
