whao!!! Long time no see! Welcome back! :hap2:

not in touch with the latest trends/model Nos. so wait a while. :D

NEVER GET SONY ...

I got one for myself.. and the damn thing is stuck since the 3rd month of usage... had to whack the cabinet to get the frickin tray out .. so mch so that the poor cabinet has a depression on the topside due to constant bashing ...

I am using Samsung SATA SH-S203(1.5k, now maybe less) since past one month. Working absolutely normal. :hap2:

Im sure __________ gonna come and market LG again!! I would suggest you get a Sony/LG/Samsung/LiteOn/Anyother... Most writers I find are anyways crap and dont last more than 2 yrs

How about LiteOn ? Their CD Writers were by far the best on offer by any of the Samsungs/LGs. I am looking one for myself too, will post if I do a round up of Nehru Place today.

SATA - Samsung S203B
PATA - LG H42N ; ASUS 1608P3S (If you can find one :P)

+1 for that.

The samsung costs 1.3k and the LG should be around the same.

OT,

I wasn't around when you were there...but who is Radon?! :S

And if anybody is uncomfortable buying samsung then go for Sony SATA
