And the most expensive one for me and all the T.E members. It's our cabinet, When ever cabinet got heat up, put it into freezer.

Look at my lovely pic of cabinet and the freezer.

apparently you can store your unwashed jeans to get the stink off. :bigok:

kippu , yeah this is the first time i am getting a refrigerator you can say :P, since my older baby is 20 yr old (160L model) and is being donated by someone to our family. its freezer or you can say the whole fridge never used to work till date :(

Green peas at least in Mumbai is hell expensive around the year except "so called" winter months. It is a good idea to buy them in bulk at that time, remove the peas from its cover and store them in freezer for round the year use. I am not talking about those safal etc branded already frozen peas.
Another thing to keep in sweet corn, lots of it, you can use them at many places like pizza toppings, making corn chaat etc.
Make a mixture of green peas, carrot and corn and use that as ready to make (not eat) mixed veg sabji.

Unfortunately we have a small 165 Liters Kelvinator fridge which is very old but still going strong but it has very small freezer compartment inside the main compartment so all the above is not possible but plan to do when i buy a new bigger fridge.

Because that guy in Dallas is here for less than a week now so have to start preparing for things to cope up back home. Have got spoilt for choices and availability anytime, everytime :)

my old fridge was a kelvinator. lasted around 20 years without failing. got it exchanged after the constant leaking of the fridge got on the nerves. the chill tray below the freezer would always fill up and overflow all inside the fridge. because of that the part below the door rusted in time and also due to bombay's famous salty weather. i still have the original booklet of that fridge. has some recipes in it too.

thank goodness for frost free fridges now. they cool a lot faster and much more cleaner. they run a bit hot though.

@TS, put the exact same things in your fridge as shown in your first post in the fridge ad. problem solved.

Just wanna confirm can we store pizza's also in the freezer section ??, defreeze it using oven after 2-3 days and eating it :D

Also, i don't think it will be a good idea to store fresh fruits and veggies there, also can someone clarify which section will be much better to put cooked rice and veggies- freezer or refrigerator ??
Pizza should be fine, but why would you want to store it instead of ordering it fresh? Cooked rice and veggies are better kept in the refrigerator, but make sure you finish it within a day or two. You can store it in the freezer if you want it to last longer, but I read that all the water content in food will expand when frozen and damage food at the cellular level or something.

So i bought a new Fridge, and yeah it has got a whooping big freezer :D

Please do suggest what all things i can put there apart from Ice-Cream (Available and used in India only)

My new fridge has got the same seating arrangements. All advise are welcomed (Eatables only) :ashamed:

Put your old non-functional Hard Disks in the freezer. Take them out after a few hours, plug them in and recover any lost data.

I think fride companies should come up with some kind of design where u can turn off the freezer when not needed...My freezer is used only when i get fish in excess...on very rare ocassion icecreams..
