I agree with m-jeri. Why do you only consider the interests of the buyer as worth defending?
If sending a PM feels too much then one should even abstain from posting the same in the thread.
I also agree it is a kind of bullying. If one is not interested in buying the product in question they should keep away from the thread. .
Posting in thread makes it public. So that both buyers and sellers would know and as well lurkers also will know the price. I really don't understand why PM route. Seller can decide to revise his price or not. And sorry, no one will keep away from thread just because they are not buying. Do understand that its a forum and thats how community works helping each other imo. If TE saved me 500 bucks on a deal I was about to make, then my respect for TE increases more and I will start participating more often.
There are ways to bully someone. If someone points to a better deal, how is that bullying?
Even after that seller can continue with its price and ignore posts. Now its choice of buyer whether to go with same seller's price or find a better deal. He may still go with seller at higher price in case he may be needed product urgently or he may trust the seller more etc.
Just selling at higher price and skimming off money is not gonna work in open forums. I again say:
#1. lets say you are selling a brand new Moto G 8GB at 13K. I would like to point out that a new one is available in Fk at 12k.
#2. You are selling a used Moto G 8GB at, 12K. I would like to point out that a new one is available in Fk at 12.
#3. You are selling a used Moto G 8GB at 11K. I will keep my mouth shut.
If you import iPhone 5S, you can still sell and make profits without selling it higher prices than Indian markets.
Lets be all fair and let the buyer know whats the current market price and let him decide. The trick is to price it correctly so that buyer would still like to buy from you.
Regarding lowballers, don't reply to them, simple. And if they start irritating, then report to mods.
