Re: what option do i have for career after my 12th now ???????

well, you can start by mentioning which stream you're from(computer?, so science, you interested in engineering?)

What is your score?
If you are brilliant in studies then i would recommend you engineering else do not bother because getting average marks will not take you far.
If possible opt for B sc in computers or IT and if you score well there pursue for MBA.

are you passing out of 12th now? what all entrance exams did you appear and what is your percentage for the HSC exam? results are declared yesterday.

If you are interested in the computer field, right now there are following options, Computer Engineering, IT Engineering, BSc IT, BCA in my order of preference.

As for a bright career, Computer Science is a very good option. What exactly are you confused about? You do not have to worry about what specific field you will be working in. As you progress in your studies, more and more specific options will open up and you can choose whatever you like at that time. Right now all you need to choose is between Medical/Engineering/BSc/(any other option?).

ashvarybabul is right .
ihave given aieee and mh-cet to .

If your score is not great do not go for engineering. Trust me you will thank me for that. Choose any thing within BCa or Bsc computers or get more info from others. I would give preference to Bsc IT simply because you would get better overall score in your academics since their syllabus is relatively easy.

+1.. If the score isn't high and you aren't good in science, then there is no need to go for engineering.. you'll spoil your future. Go for something that you like to do and which gets you good marks.

And don't think that if you became an engineer or do MBA later, you'll be getting more salary than others or $hit like that. Every field has future. You just should be good at what you do. Nothing else matters.

If you like computers then do some research on computer subjects (BCA, B.Tech{CS} etc.) that you'll get in the college and try to look at the books of 1st and 2nd year. If you think that you'll be able to do it, then go for it.

Else, you'll be wasting your money, time and future.

Do not go for engineering just because you are getting admission there.
Just to give you an idea this first semester in mumbai university 80% students failed their exams so if you do decide to join engineering be prepared for such shocker of results.

engineering wont only be computer subjects ... i am in IT engg stream and ive got to study all sorts of electrical subjects and i even got a mechanical engg subject next sem :S ..... it wont only be computers so watch out if u suck at maths and electronics

that happened with 1st semester of science in class 11 too

Now, @ OP, are you willing to do courses like BCom or BBA or the likes? Or is it just computer science? Please don't mistake your love for playing games on the computer or surfing the net as your interest in computer field.

Once you start studying, it's not going to be porn porn on the computer(meaning, it's going to get tough). And as I said, playing gfames doens't mean you're interested in computer field, it means you're interested in gaming(everyone is).

yep understand the difference between gaming interest and computer " .......... ".

what do u think of bac cs ?????

and can any buddy tell me the difference in t e syllabers what courses like b.tech, b.e, b.sc cs,

and other courses have ???

leaving the first year :)
