What OS are you most comfortable with?

Linux. The customisability is unmatched. You can find my dot files here https://github.com/aryabhatta-dey/dots
I am using
1. Windows 10 only for gaming
2. Gentoo Linux on main workstation and on Home Server
3. Trying freebsd for fun

Hyprland is amazing, but I switched to xmonad.
Is going back to x worth it? I have been using sway for the longest time but considering switching to hyperland to try it.

Long time user of Windows, but made the switch to Linux. Not as nice of a user experience in many ways (drag and drop, consistent style/size dialog windows, font sizing, etc) but it's still very usable. Lots of help online to get any kinks worked out. Still hanging on to windows server though.

I'm most comfortable with my arch linux + sway wm setup. Though, I also dual boot windows 11.

Tried nixos for a year, but going back to arch. Nixos in its current state seems to be like death by a thousand cuts. A bit exaggerated, but it's filled with small kinks here and there which eats up a lot of your time.

I have been running the same. but have been thinking about switching to nix

Windows user since Windows98 SE ! Also used Windows NT in my industrial work. Most loved was Windows 7. Now using 11 of course. However, used MacOS (Macbook air) from 2017-2020. It was good until it died by water damage. :(

Loved the idea of NixOS, but yeah, same feeling, so I went back to Fedora. Though, I plan to convert some of my VPSes to use NixOS instead, since they're very unlikely to change state for some years.

I'm most comfortable with Fedora, though I dualboot with Windows and have a Mac for work. MacOS is nice, except when it isn't. Sometimes it just bugs out for very random reasons, which I don't really like. Overall, it has been an unstable OS for me so far lol
Though it's more stable than Windows. I just keep the Windows' partition around because it's easier to game on it.

yeah yeah, there's Proton and all that, but I don't like Steam in my system, and without Steam, Proton is harder to configure and manage, at least more so than just restarting into Windows :P

I was quite comfortable with all Windows versions from 95 to 7, with the 2000 and XP being my favourite, but after 7 I switched over to MacOS. And now for my life, I cannot go back to Windows 10+ anymore.
