^ Q6600 OC 3.6 ghz beats E8400 at 4.2 in most cases

gamervivek said:quad isn't future proof,no company is gonna make a game that stutters on dual cores while more than half of the market is dual core. at a 22'' resolution of 1680x1050 i don't think you will see any gains from a proccy upgrade.cpu stops being a bottleneck as you increase the screen res not the other way round, even the review you posted shows hardly any diference between the proccies at 1600x1200.
i would try and oc that 2140 from 2.8 to 3-3.2 ,though if you are still hell bent on upgrading get a used e6xxx series, they will perform quite decently for the price and oc nicely too.

Considering your last years shopping for PC components, I think you will save a lot more, even after paying 5-6000 per month on the ORIGINAL games.
After all, gaming is all you need.
