The E6750 does not clock as high doesn't come with the new SSE 4 instructions and also no 45nm which means lower power consumption. Also no 4G's with the E6750 so no bragging rights :P

^^Again :|

See man , any Core processor with more than 3.2 or 3.4GHZ will be able to eat anygame u throw at it, i mean "Anything", and for 1.5k more getting two extra cores now thats worth the investment. Ofcourse Power Consumption and all that comes into play but thats really really not a factor for choosing a processor. He already has a good Cooler so pair that with a good 120mm fan then proc will be under 60" at 100% load.

umm i dnt agree to this.. any core processor with more than 3.2 or 3.4ghz will eat up games ?.. why dnt we use celeron 3.2 Ghz and play crysis with it  .. its not only the ghz's that come in to action when you say processors.. its the cache memory that plays an important part as well as the FSB.. whats the point in introducing Core2duos and nehalems when you think 'ANY' proccy with more than 3.2ghz can eat up any games .. :P

^^ SO what do you suggest @TM when it is hard to find Q6600 that will do 3.6 @ low vcore?

Future Proof = Nothing

Get urself wotever is able to run the games u play at decent settings, sell off in good resell time ...keep on upgrading thats PC gaming for u

Better buy a Console and be happy for a long time atleast....Console is killing PC gaming ..err somewhat Yeah but being a gaming enthu i wud buy both i love my PC as well as my console no biasing done :)
