What to buy from US @ 15k INR? EDIT: Bought a Lumia 822

How much a Nexus 4(8GB) will cost ?

This phone is unlocked for any GSM carrier within US & WorldWide.
There is a SIM CARD slot that will work with just about any card. All you need to do is to make sure that the carrier you use is compatible with one of the following bands: GSM 850, GSM 900, GSM 1800, GSM 1900 or LTE 700.
 
The phone has a SIM slot. So pretty much any 822 you pick will work on GSM.

The cheapest you can get a Nexus 4 is from the Play Store for approx. $340 including taxes and shipping to the US.
 
how is Nexus 4 versus Nokia 822 ?

$340 versus $269 ?

p.s. - i am ok with New others/Refurbished so as to bring 822 below $200.
 
I have a bias towards Windows Phones, so would go with the Lumia. That said, if going for the Nexus 4, paying $50 extra and getting the 16GB variant would be a much better choice, as 8 GB might prove to be insufficient especially if you happen to store lots of videos, songs and space intensive games.
 
Go ahead with lumia 822,I personally had import 822 for my friend and it's truly gsm unlocked,just insert sim card and you are good to go.....
Do try to source white one as I have used both but white look good on lumia 822 also don't forget to source cover and screen protector for lumia 822 as you have hard time finding it here in India...
 
i am ok with 8 GB, this phone will be used by my dad, so not much of music/games. Few pictures, some apps & some documents. That's about it.

How much does a Nexus 4 (8 GB) cost ?? is it below 300 $ ?

Nah ,it will be around 320 if you purchase through Google play store...try eBay for used piece..

The major criteria to buy will be price difference viz-a-viz US & India prices. + the default features and etc.

Ask your friend to get Samsung Galaxy Grand for 15k from US which is 21k in India right now. It just looks like Samsung S3 and also performs like one. What do you say mate?

@manucitc - Checked Ebay, used is coming around $310....Guess its better to buy a new one for $320 then.

@bssunil - Have used 'grand' and i liked the phone. But on ebay the least price is $380.

320 from PlayStore? I don't think that's the price in all the states - you are probably assuming it is tax free everywhere. Most states would be around 340.
