my friend is going to US and will have a waiting period for 14 hours at JFK till next connecting flight, how to kill time during that period..any ideas:huh:

^^not planning on carrying a lappy..as he has to carry back a laptop from there ( for me:ohyeah: )

well, if you had a 4" smartphone, a movie could do.

14 hours? Music wont cut it. What about sleeping for 8 hours?

Doubt you will be able to sleep, since the hours will be messed up. Roam around. Read some books. Doubt wi-fi radio would be free. Maximum an hour. It is a HUGE airport though. Tons of shops and eating joints.

actually its my elder bro going there

all advices noted..reading is a good option but have a feeling that jet lag would set in earlier in that case.

femme watching is unavoidable, its all about "field of view"

loading up the iphone is a viable option ..do they have sleeping lounge..i have been there myself but never came across any such thing..

meditating on purpose on life also goes up on the list and i think doing that in a bar would be insightful..

Get him closer to his hobby, whatever that is...
I would carry a sketchpad (tablet...duh), scribble down ideas, drawings or the likes.

You can get arrested if you want . Always turns out good in the movies at least. . you even get a hot chick by the end of you little misadventure !

Win :D !

If I remember correctly, JFK has a luggage storage service. ($5 per bag or something like that). An hour's train ride to Manhattan. That'll give him 6-7 hours in Manhattan. Once there, there is of course a ton of stuff to do.

The MoMA

The Natural History Museum

Tons of good places to eat

Nintendo Store

******Thinks of a witty reference to The Terminal**********
as long as cath zeta zones pays attention

bro is exploring the manhattan option.. seems good and the train service is cheap and kills one hour of time too
