well the release of the geforce 8600 series is nearing,and the price in US is not that much, ie about $150....so its just obvious that the prices of the 7 series will come down by quite a margin.but what about the average gamer,with dx10 games still being uncommon,what would the average gamer prefer a lower 8 series model, or a higher 7 series model , like (8300 vs 7600 or 8600 vs 7800/7900)??

Hold for a while for Nvidia 8600 series to reach Indian shores and a time frame for prices to stabilise.. 
On a reply for your questions, i say wait for more benchmarks to be released on the cards after they are released.. Expect a price update then as was the procedure for all previous series replacing its ancestor..

Well isn't it obvious ?? Like what happened to the FX series after the 6 series launch .. and what happened to the 6 series after the 7 series launch ... the 8 series is aught to replace the previous generation ... but the main problem will be how long will dx10 take to settle down .....
