hey guys,

i have one of them installed in one of my PC'S...i wouldn't have bought it but i was a total noob at the time of buying it:ashamed:

EDIT:The PSU is 450W

also what would be the power consumption of-

-e5200

-ga-g31-s2l

-dell 1909W

-seagate 500 7200.11 and

-mercury nvidia 8600gt 256mb ddr3

installed together on the same PSU?

thanks in advance!:D

thanks ^^

but what if all the hardware^ installed together on the 450W Odyssey PSU?and that's where i want to know bout the PSU's efficiency!

^^

For efficiency you would need to know the draw from the socket. And then do: PSU output / PSU power draw. An energy meter or Kill-o-Watt device is needed.

i remember reading a review on el-cheapo 500W PSU on hardware secrets. It cant really deliver more than half the wattage specified, and efficiency will be like 45~60%.

Better get atleast an FSP Saga 350 or Zebby Pro/HEC 350 for 1.5k. Both are gr8 PSU for its price.

throw away the odyssey SMPS, its one of the worst SMPS sold in inDia.A 450w odyssey will only have a real watt capacity of app:160-210Watts(comes with Diff: loaD capacities on same 450w label !!), also its internal components are worst, change now or your other PC parts soon be labeled with R.I.P !!!!!Never think that a Rs.400 SMPS is VFM !!!esp odyssey brand.I never came to hear any good compliments to any odyssey products on recent times !!!

recently came across the same psu of another fellow TE member.

the psu was lighter than any other generic psu in the market...i doubt if it has any heatsink for the components inside.

i would not count on it.
